Old School Game

Flamengo won at Mexico DF. Those who saw the match probably agreed that América's team is crap. Their goalie is the exception to that rule. Their chubby attacker is crap but since the rest of the squad is dreadful he stands out. They need to perform a miracle, or a "segundo maracanazo" as the El Universal newspaper said, to go through but with that roster...slim chances. Ah yes..and the coach of the mexican team resigned after the match...and it was his first.

Fluminense played a lousy match at Medellin agains Nacional (Why the hell do they call it "Altético Nacional"? Everybody knows them by the name "Nacional"!) They didn't deserve to win but let it be. Unless the brazilian team screws up BIG time, they're gonna go through.

São Paulo was pretty cocky, as usual, and didn't manage to score a single goal at Montevideo.

Cruzeiro didn't play against Boca Juniors at La Bombonera (the candy box..cute huh?). Boca wasn't threatened by the brazilian squad but due to their arrogance they let Cruzeiro score one goal which can complicate the argentinan's next match in Brazil. As for Cruzeiro: beating Boca at home is still very hard, don't know if they're aware of that.

Chelsea and Liverpool...amazing match period. Nothing more to discuss. Go Blues.

And wrapping up, I'm watching, as we speak, the Bayern München versus Zenit match. The russian are ahead: two nil. The match is at Saint Petersburg and the bavarians are underperforming...still.
